With about 5,500 people living in Mount Carmel, TN, it is a beautiful, rural based town in Hawkins County, TN, located west of Kingsport, TN.

 

The name comes from the Mount Carmel Methodist Church which was once located in the area. Mount Carmel, Israel was the inspiration for this church's name. The Liberty Cemetery is now located on the property originally occupied by the Methodist Church.
