Gray, TN
A rural suburb of Johnson City, Gray is part of "Tri-Cities" metropolitan area. It has a population of over just over 1,000 people. This wonderful area lies just outside the intersection of I-81 and I-26, and is in between Kingsport and Johnson City.
This area was originally founded as an area to service a railway depot, and founded as Gray Station, Tennessee. Later it popularly became known just by the name of Gray.
With the growth of the "Tri-Cities," and the increasing popularity of this area as a location to live, stores, and restaurants continue to come into the area.
Also, hosting the Appalachian Fair in Washington County, towards the end of every summer, Gray also is the home of the Internationally recognized Gray Fossil Site.
